Fête du Citron

We do our annual flower count in Victoria while the rest of the country isn’t… quite so warm. Likewise, the lovely little Mediterranean ville of Menton holds a ‘Festival of Lemons’ every February/March. Apparently it ‘feels like’ -4 in Paris tonight, which isn’t quite as bad as Toronto, but the Fête du Citron has still got to sting a little for Parisians. Now we just have to figure out how to turn our cherry blossoms into gigantic sculptures and we can really rub it in for the Easterners!

This might is also be a good time mention our Yuzu Macarons 🙂

What’s a Yuzu?? It’s juicy and delicious south Asian citrus fruit that would fit it in very well at the Fête du Citron, and which makes a darn nice macaron.
